DJ Hammy Archive

Accessibility

Last updated: 18 August 2026

The DJ Hammy Archive is intended to be usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability, technology or how they access the web.

The Archive is independently maintained by Guy Carberry, and accessibility is considered as part of the design and ongoing development of the website.

Our accessibility aim

We aim for the DJ Hammy Archive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

WCAG is an internationally recognised set of recommendations for making websites more accessible to people with disabilities.

The website has not yet undergone a formal independent accessibility audit, so we do not currently claim full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance.

What we’ve done

The Archive has been designed and developed with accessibility in mind. Measures include:

Using the Archive

You should be able to:

The Archive is primarily built using HTML and CSS, with JavaScript used for some enhancements. Core archive content is intended to remain understandable without relying on complex interactive behaviour.

Known limitations

Although accessibility is considered during development, there may still be areas that can be improved.

In particular:

As the website continues to develop, accessibility issues will be reviewed and improvements made where practical.

Reporting an accessibility problem

If you find something on the DJ Hammy Archive difficult to use or access, please let me know.

Details of how to get in touch are available on the Contact page.

When reporting an accessibility problem, it is helpful if you can include:

I’ll use this information to investigate the problem and improve the Archive where possible.

Alternative access

If you cannot access information in the Archive because of an accessibility problem, please contact me. I’ll do my best to provide the information in another accessible form or help you find what you need.

Ongoing improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing part of maintaining the DJ Hammy Archive rather than a one-off exercise.

New features and significant interface changes will aim to follow WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and this statement will be updated as the accessibility of the website is reviewed and improved.
